Our 8th grade students come from low-income families. We have a diverse population. We would like to be able to sponsor at least one student who is financially restricted.

Many of our students have never had the opportunity to travel outside of their local area. This trip will give the students an opportunity to travel to our Nation's Capitol. Our students will get to experience a new location along with expanding their knowledge of their country and history. Our students are hard working and dedicated to learning. They have been studying US history for two years and would love the opportunity to see this history face to face. The students will also have life lessons in being able to travel. As one of teachers of these students we work very hard to get enough funding to provide this trip.

There are also many fundraisers through out the year that supports the students as a whole class and also individual students. These 8th grade students will be given the opportunity to bring their history knowledge to life. The students will be able to make life long connections through out the trip. The experience of our Nation's Capitol up close and personal is an unforgettable trip for these students. This trip is often the only trip these students get to take.
