My opinion is that it would not be a good idea. Do you think that the sharpness and bokeh of a Nikkor would be retained by a $28.88 wide angle converter?

Buy the lens you need. Suggesting the 35mm f1.8G is not sharp enough and then suggesting a WA adapter on the 50 would be better? Cheers, John.
