So the basic process is to take this geometry and turn it into a component first and that way anything else that you draw will not stick to this so I'm going to go ahead and just left click and drag, select all of this and then just do Edit, Make Component. If we want we can give this a name, I can call it Floor Plan and hit Create. So now this is kind of its own object and anything I draw won't stick to it. And that was the main part of that. Now if we want we can also go into materials and select that floor plan material, right click, Edit, and maybe turn down the opacity so that way we can kind of see our geometry a little bit better on it.
