About Destiny 2 for Mac is a multiplayer first-person shooter video game developed by Bungie and published by Activision. It was released for Microsoft Windows(PC), Mac OS X, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 6, 2017. Destiny 2 for Mac is the sequel to 2014’s Destiny and its subsequent expansions. Gameplay One year after the events of Destiny: Rise of Iron, the Red Legion faction of the Cabal a military-industrial empire of massive amphibians attack the Last City with overwhelming forces. Their emperor, Dominus Ghaul, believes the Traveler was wrong in giving humanity Light. The attack succeeds in stripping the Guardians of their powers and forces them to flee the Tower. Scattered and powerless, the Guardians must acquire new powers to face Ghaul and the Red Legion, venture to new worlds in the Destiny universe, and reclaim the Last City.
Similar to its predecessor, Destiny 2 for Mac is a first-person shooter game that incorporates role-playing and massively multiplayer online game (MMO) elements. The original Destiny included on-the-fly matchmaking that allowed players to communicate only with other players with whom they were “matched” by the game. To communicate with other players in the Destiny 2 for Mac world, players had to use their respective console’s messaging system. Destiny 2 for Mac features a more optimal way of matchmaking called “Guided Games”, which allows players to search for clans who may need additional players for activities, such as strikes or raids. Like the original, activities in Destiny 2 for Mac are divided among player versus environment (PvE) and player versus player (PvP) game types.

5.4.4 May 3, 2018. Mildoze, Handy Dandy I like this app more that any other companion app I’ve used for a video game like this. Sadly not nearly as fun or useful now that grimoires/lore aren’t in the app. Still makes character and clan management possible outside the game but I feel like they could have really done something special if they had made it possible to use the director on your phone as a second screen while you’re playing destiny 2. But that isn’t why I take one star off. I take that for not handling notifications linking to the app correctly.
A clan chat notification when clicked to follow doesn’t take you to clan chat in app. As well as oversights like this; there are numerous little quirks and shortcomings. Sure, the things it does do it does without issue and keeps it simple enough that you will figure the whole thing out in no time (even if the design for ui and interface is a bit too vague for anyone not already familiar with then from playing in game). Ggvictoria, User Interface Issues & Missing Info The user interface of this app is definitely lacking. Example: When I get notifications about Clan Chat messages and click on the notification, I'm not taken to Clan Chat where the message came in. I've had to figure out on my own that I must manually go to Clan Chat to see where the notification was coming from. That should be mobile app UI 101. Especially when Bungie's promoting D2's clan oriented features to encourage cooperative play. Same applies to all other features of the app, like LFG.
The other issue I'm seeing is that Bungie took out very useful PvP statistics we used to have in the Destiny 1 companion app version. Now I have to resort to 3rd party web apps to find this info; and that's clearly not as ideal as to what Bungie already offered in the old version of their companion app. So if new Clan features aren't really all that ideal to begin with, why did they get rid of old functionality that did work and was actually useful? Anthonypc13, Hackers I enjoy playing Destiny, getting to know people, having fun. But it gets to the point when someone goes & attempts to hack my account is when I can't enjoy the game, especially when that person works hard to deal with other hackers. I honestly think that Destiny 2 is not a game worth getting because of hackers who can hide who they are by working in Bungie, if Bungie & any other gaming company want to make sure they don't have people like me hacked & not enjoy the game, maybe those companies should go ahead & check on each of their employees & their accounts & if someone reports that person for hacking then shouldn't the game company investigate to make sure if they are telling the truth or not & make sure the hacker can't try to hack anyone else's account? I am a victim of nearly getting hacked by a hacker who is in charge of Bungie forms & is said to know the manger of Bungie, so for the people at Bungie reading this, are you ok with people getting hacked by your own coworkers then having the customers go ahead & not enjoy any of your games?
